In June, 2009, Draper Dillon, together with Newcastle and Sydney based, Lawler Partners, announced the formation of a national alliance of like-minded independent firms focused on superior quality client service.

The combined force of the two firms is currently 21 Partners and 220 Staff which places the Alliance in the mid-tier level (No. 26 in the BRW 2009 rankings) enabling clients and staff greater depths of resources and opportunities.

Discussions are currently well advanced with the expectancy of an additional Brisbane firm joining the Alliance in early 2010.
